Pincushion

I made this pincushion the other night for a pincushion challenge my guild is having in April. I am taking it to the Quilters Choice quilt shop in Jupiter for what they call "Sew fun club". They include a show and tell and they have free demonstrations. Should be a lot of fun. My friend Sue who lives here in Florida is a good customer there and we are going together.

I can't wait to get back home for many reasons, but one is so I will have more room to sew. There just isn't enough room for cutting, etc. Also, I have so many projects that need to be machine quilted and I can't do that on my featherweight.
I can't wait to see the daffodils, crocus and tulips starting to bloom. And working in my gardens, it seems so long and I can't wait to start getting the winter kill off the perennials and uncover the roses. Spring sunshine and warm weather is just around the corner, can't wait.

Flordia Happenings

[Photo][Photo]Life has been really busy this winter in Florida. Daughter Debi and grandson Andrew visited last week. We spent a lot of time at the pool, ocean, visiting friends and doing kid things. It was so great, but when he is good he is really good and when he is bad he is really bad. But we love him. He is so attached to his Bumpa (his grandpa Chuck). All of our grandkids call him Bumpa. I had to put my sewing machine away while they were here, but I am getting it back out this weekend. It is going to be really hot in the next week or so. In the high 80's. We are going to the flea market tomorrow to buy fresh fruit and veggies. They have really good prices there and lots of other things for sale. I am going to Stuart on Monday with a quilting friend, Sue Davis that lives near here. Also, there is a really good quilt shop in West Palm Beach that I have wanted to go to. Here is their website http://www.myquiltshoppefl.com/ They have some great sale fabrics.Labels: fleamarket, Florida, quiltshopsI have two work in process quilt tops that I have finished and will quilt on my Bernina when I return home. One is a charity quilt for donation and the other one is for me. Next, I will continue to work on the French Rose Quilt.
